WiFi Setup Guide
Follow these steps to connect your PiBOX to WiFi:
Power On Your PiBOX
Plug in the USB-C cable. The LED will start blinking, indicating the device is starting up.
Connect to PiBOX Hotspot
On your phone, go to WiFi settings and connect to the network named
PiBOX_XXXX (the last 4 characters are unique to your device).Open Setup Page
Open your browser and go to
192.168.4.1. The PiBOX WiFi configuration page will appear.Enter Your WiFi Credentials
Select your home WiFi network from the list and enter the password. Tap Save.
Listen for Activation Code
The device will restart and connect to your WiFi. It will then speak a 6-digit activation code. Use this code to pair your device.

Help & Troubleshooting
Device won't turn on
Check that the USB-C cable is firmly connected and the power adapter provides at least 5V/1A. Try a different cable or adapter. The LED should light up within a few seconds of plugging in.
Can't hear the activation code
Make sure the volume is turned up on your device. Try restarting it by unplugging and plugging back in. Ensure the device is connected to WiFi first — it needs internet access to speak the code. Check the WiFi Setup Guide.
Device says "not connected"
This means the device can't reach the server. Check that your WiFi is working, the router has internet access, and the device isn't too far from the router. Try restarting both the device and your router.
Voice sounds wrong or robotic
Go to My Assistant and change the Voice under the "Voice & Language" section. Try different voices to find one you prefer. The device needs to restart for voice changes to take effect.
Assistant doesn't understand me
Speak clearly and at a normal pace. Make sure you're close enough to the device (within 2-3 feet). Background noise can interfere with recognition. You can also try changing the speech recognition model in the Admin Panel.
How to reset the device
Press and hold the reset button on your PiBOX for 10 seconds. The LED will flash rapidly, then the device will restart and re-enter WiFi setup mode. You'll need to reconnect it to WiFi and pair it again.
How to change the assistant's personality
Go to My Assistant and edit the System Prompt. You can use the personality templates to quickly apply pre-built roles, or write your own custom instructions.
